Constant stress can leave you vulnerable to coughs and colds. Herbal teas are a great daily stress reliever and are great at any time, but they’re especially valuable when you have a cold.

“The Common Cold 101″ reports:

Although tea is considered a stress-relief beverage, recent studies suggest that teas such as chamomile may have various therapeutic properties that help ward off colds. According to a study conducted by researchers from Imperial College in London, “hippurate, a breakdown product of tea flavonoids, acts as an anti-inflammatory and can help to fight infections in the body.”

Herbal teas especially recommended for stress relief include chamomile, lavender (yes, you can make a tea from lavender flowers), elderflower, and lemon balm.

Drinking green tea daily helps too - green tea is packed with antioxidants to help your body to combat stress.
