Job stress leads to depression - get relief

Stress at work causes depression - reports:
“One in six cases of depression may be caused by unhappiness at work, new University of Melbourne research has found.
According to the analysis of data on 1100 Victorian depression sufferers, around 15% – or some 21,000 cases if applied to the total of those afflicted – are primarily triggered by job stress.”
If you fear that you may have depression, here are the signs to be aware of:

Loss of interest in normal daily activities
Feeling sad or down
Feeling hopeless
Crying spells for no apparent reason
Problems sleeping
Trouble focusing or concentrating
Difficulty making decisions
Unintentional weight gain or loss

Perhaps you’re lonely because you’re remembering happier times with family and friends who’ve passed on.

There is nothing abnormal about having the ‘holiday blues,’ which are more like a mood than any sort of lasting condition. Depression, anxiety, and other psychological symptoms are associated with the holidays because this season brings back memories of a happier time in our lives. Plan a holiday where loneliness doesn’t dominate.”
